Ultrasound
Ultrasound therapy is a painless, non-invasive treatment that uses sound waves to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and promote healing in soft tissues.

What is Ultrasound?
Ultrasound is a treatment that uses high-frequency sound waves to promote healing in soft tissues and reduce pain and inflammation. The sound waves are delivered through a handheld device that is moved over the skin with a special gel to help transmit the waves into the body.
Ultrasound therapy is commonly used for muscle strains, ligament injuries, tendonitis, joint inflammation, and to improve blood flow and tissue repair. It’s a painless, non-invasive treatment often used alongside exercises and other therapies for faster recovery.
What to Expect
Benefits and Uses
During an ultrasound therapy session, you can expect a physiotherapist to apply a small amount of gel to the treatment area and gently move a handheld device over your skin. You may feel a mild warmth or no sensation at all as the sound waves work beneath the surface.
The treatment usually lasts about 5 to 10 minutes, is painless, and has no downtime. Afterward, your therapist may combine it with exercises or other therapies to support your recovery.
